The Naked Home is about breaking down and removing all the elements within our home, it’s about molding your interior aspirations and bringing to life that sense of space which reflects our individual balance to harmonise our living environment.
Sometimes we forget how much our surrounding space influences us mentally and physically, we live day-to-day lives oblivious to the surroundings we inhabit. It’s only when we are introduced to a new place or location, that we really start to reflect on where we have been and where we are now. We all love it when we go on holiday, whether to a sunny location with white sand and crystal blue waters, or some country cottage tucked away in some hidden valley. Just like when spring comes and we clear out our winter clothes and prepare for a fresh start, we should spend time clearing out the clutter we subconsciously surround ourselves with.
As you’re reading this take in where you are. Are you at home? Are you sat in a cafe? Ask yourself how is this space affecting your lifestyle, what do you like and dislike.
The key essence of The Naked Home is about looking at a space as a blank palette. What would you do with it? Don’t constrict yourself with boundaries you may have previously set yourself. Try something different. Play with colours. Experiment with elements you’ve not used before whether it be furniture, accessories or lighting. Be as creative and daring as you can be; attempt DIY or simply try changing how you use your space. For example, combining kitchen and dining area can not only open up a space but also bring in a social element. Introducing singular elements can also enhance your space, this can be done through the introduction of plants, feature walls or reorganising your interior layout.
Our Journey begins here, I look forward to you joining me towards understanding the best way we can live in harmony with the spaces we inhabit.
